Tokyo Designers Week 2012

Energy is created from the connections between people. A new story begins when we rediscover these connections. Creating this new story together "with you" is the theme of our exhibition.

Tama Art University,Environmental Design Department worked on Collaborative project "Design for connecting the life of people" with Japanese Red Cross Society,Tokyo Metropolitan Blood Center . We will exhibit these results.

[SWEETLESS SWEETS] Today, many people suffer from that there are no foods. But the other side, many foods are thrown away. These sweets are made ​​of glass,they are symbols that it's easy to take them by your hand but you can not eat if you want to do.

We have a eat-being eaten relationship between food and us. In this production, you can experience how it feels like to be each other by having fun! Use your body, and you are the one who is going to make this space!

Lump sugar, put in white space. We create a new unit "kakusatou" to convert "kcal" into a lump sugar. Does it make you care more or less about "kcal"?

“A Full-Course Table” projects scenes of meals and other various images onto a table made from countless interconnected plates. This installation proposes a new vision of “food” through plates.

We exhibit the cutlery (prototype) which carried out the form of the leg of a living thing. The inside of a container is likened with a restaurant and the installation of the party by the living things cooked with tomorrow's table is carried out.

What delicious is happiness? The #おいしいもの tweet with images displayed on the object. Lyrical representation of a piece of the happiness of everyone. In the world today, "delicious" bring happiness!

Food Fighter is an installation that gives you an experienc of joy for cooking. You can chop foods with your movement like an action scene of films. It should be the exciting experience for you!

The ‘Laboratory of Food Analysis’ is a playful commentary on the nutritional supplement and diet industry. It produces personally printed edible cards according to physical properties of the visitors

Mouth Molding is a total new, finger licking candy-experience that challenges you to sculpt the candy with your mouth and create a piece of art that you can eat. Don’t forget to brush your teeth after*

Can we grow products the way we grow food? Sugar Frames uses the ability for sugar to spontaneously crystallize to regrow a set of iconic consumer products.

"You + Earth" is an installation asks its visitors to think about the environment and food throughout miniature models of the earth "Mobile Garden"s.

 SNAILS RECIPE.  With snails,children use to play bird-call and hopscotch .Snails escapes upward their culinary misfortune (forks). Foaming water releases bubbles (snail saliva, bubbling snail butter)

We are searching for the possibility of new creation which combined bio-media and personal fabrication. The temporary lab as a place to create is prepared on the theme of the design linking directly to "agriculture",
